Informco Inc. is a privately-held, owner-operated Canadian company that has been in business since 1947. Since then, our services – which originally consisted of general insurance wording consulting and printing – have expanded to include a broad range of integrated communications solutions.

Some of the highlights of Informco’s evolution since inception include:

1960s: Added design and commercial printing to services offered, and expanded to serve the mutual fund industry
1970s: Included inventory management and fulfillment in stable of services
1980s: Provided access to inventory management system through phone lines and client base extended to all financial services and other businesses
1990s: Offered clients access to inventory through the Internet and expanded services to include programming, variable digital printing, insertion and mailing services, and e-archival
1997: Achieved ISO 9001 Quality Certification
2000: Began offering email delivery of insurance policies and launched web solution that allowed clients to customize marketing materials for different target groups easily and cost-effectively
2004: Achieved ISO Environment 14001 Certification and became first print-related company to have an Integrated Management System of both ISO 9001 and 14001
2004-2009: Introduced and expanded variable digital colour and black printing capabilities; expanded digital finishing options; extended one-to-one communications capabilities to include email and personalized mini websites; improved online ordering and fulfillment to our iCan Solutions, enabling clients to access and customize materials online
2007: Achieved Forest Stewardship Council Certification (FSC) and became part of a supply chain of custody for responsible forest management
2010: Continued to improve and enhance our capabilities – printing, inserting, servers, software, cameras; expanded online reporting so client administrators can run reports at their convenience; developed online tracking for clients to approve and track automated mailings
2011: Invested in new enterprise management system to better integrate print management, inventory management, automated mailings and accounting systems
2013: Launched next generation of business process integration enabling clients to initiate, collect content from a variety of sources, track and approve automated communications programs in a variety of formats such as mail, email and web
